Rochelle Garza & Sheena King Voter Event

Rochelle Garza, Democratic Candidate for Texas Attorney General, and Sheena King, Democratic Nominee for Texas State Representative HD 61, will greet voters in McKinney on Wednesday as they embark on the final week of campaigning ahead of the election. Garza and King are teaming up to speak with voters about their respective candidates, both of whom are under criminal indictment and residents of McKinney. Garza and King will also deliver remarks to supporters and potential voters, highlighting the criminal commonalities their opponents share.

About Rochelle Garza:

Rochelle Garza is a civil rights attorney and 5th generation Texan from the Rio Grande Valley. She believes that it doesn’t matter who you are or where you live, everyone deserves a fair shot to get ahead.

She has spent her career fighting for the civil rights of children, immigrants, and families. Garza has taken on Justice Brett Kavanaugh when, as a federal judge, he decided against Jane Doe, a teen in immigration detention who was denied the right to choose. Her work on that case resulted in the “Garza Notice,” which requires that detained teens be notified of their right to abortion free of retaliation and obstruction by the federal government.

Garza graduated from the University of Houston Law Center and from Brown University with honors. She lives in Brownsville with her husband, Adam, their daughter, and their dog, Ramses.
